Perchy on Twitch

The most complete of the three. Perchy reads chat, replies with Twitch's Chat Bot badge, moderates, runs polls and predictions, and clips moments, all through Twitch's own tools.

What Perchy can do

What works on Twitch, and what does not.

Every row is read from the same table the bot uses, so the site cannot promise more than the bot can do.

  • Native predictions

    Works with limits

Needs the broadcaster's own permission, and Twitch's help pages say predictions are for Affiliates and Partners. If your channel cannot run them, Perchy runs seed predictions in chat.

  • Shoutouts

  • Channel point rewards

    Works with limits

Channel points need Affiliate or Partner. Perchy sees redemptions, but can only fulfill rewards that Perchy created itself.

Getting set up

Three steps to connect.

It takes a couple of minutes, and you can switch features on one at a time.

  1. 1

    Connect your channel

You allow Perchy to read chat and, for the features you switch on, to manage polls, predictions or clips. The list is shown in plain words before you agree.

  2. 2

Perchy speaks as its own bot

Replies come from the Perchy bot account with the Chat Bot badge, so your own account stays quiet.

  3. 3

    Make the bot a moderator

To delete messages, time out viewers or change chat modes the bot has to be a moderator. Perchy can add it for you if you allow it, or you can type /mod in your chat.

Limits

Numbers worth knowing.

These come from the platform's own documentation, not from us.

  • Messages up to 500 characters.
  • Twitch lets each bot account send 20 messages per 30 seconds, or 100 where it is a moderator. Perchy keeps one queue per account, so replies wait their turn instead of being dropped.
  • Timeouts run from 1 second to 2 weeks.
  • Polls take 2 to 5 choices, from 15 seconds to 30 minutes, one at a time.
  • Predictions take 2 to 10 outcomes, from 30 seconds to 30 minutes, one at a time.
  • One shoutout every 2 minutes, and the same channel only once an hour.

Other platforms

Same bot on the other two.

Connect Twitch and see for yourself.

Perchy asks only for what the features you switch on need.
